Testing Purchases Without Real Payments

You can safely test in-app purchases on your device without any real money being charged by setting up License Testing in your Google Play Console account.

How to set it up

  1. Go to your Google Play Console.
  2. Open the Settings of your developer account (not a specific app).
  3. Navigate to Monetization → License Testing.
  4. Click Create email list or choose an existing one.
  5. Add the Google accounts (emails) of the testers who will be testing your app.
  6. In the License response dropdown, select LICENSED.

Once configured, any test purchases made from these accounts in your app will behave exactly like real transactions — but no money will actually be withdrawn.
